Walt Disney Animation Studios trotted out their upcoming feature film slate at this weekend's D23 Expo. And among the titles getting teased was the Marvel Comics adaptation, "Big Hero 6," which also led to the new teaser image above.
Disney brought a sizzle reel featuring footage from the animated superhero team movie to D23, as well as a teaser image. The film is from "Winnie the Pooh" writer-director Don Hall, who presented the footage to the D23 audience. This kind of thing doesn't typically make it onto the Internet (legally), but with the November 2014 release date looming(ish), I suspect we should expect the first teaser this holiday season.

“Big Hero 6” features brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated “Big Hero 6” hits theaters in 3D on Nov. 7, 2014.
The main characters in "Big Hero 6" will be the aforementioned Hiro and Baymax as well as GoGo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi-No Ginger and Fred who all come from Chris Claremont and David Nakayama's run on the comic. Silver Samurai and Sunfire were both members of the "Big Hero" team in the comics but will most likely not be involved due to their involvement with the "X-Men" which is over in Fox's playground.
Disney also revealed the voice casts of several upcoming productions including the "Finding Nemo" sequel "Finding Dory," as well as "The Pirate Fairy" which features Christina Hendricks as the fairy Zarina, with "Thor 2: The Dark World" star Tom Hiddleston as a young Captain Hook.
